The Problem with the Default Move Brush

The Move brush is great for general adjustments, but when precision and sharpness are required, it sometimes falls short. If you’re working on hard surface models or need clean, controlled tweaks, the default settings just don’t cut it.

Enable AccuCurve for Sharper Results

The solution? Enable AccuCurve in the Brush Curve menu. This simple setting sharpens the behavior of your Move brush, giving you crisp and precise results instantly.

Fine-Tune with Edit Curve

For even more control, use the Edit Curve option. Adjusting the curve allows you to refine how sharp or smooth your brush feels. Experiment with it to match your needs—whether you're sculpting organic shapes or refining hard surfaces.

Use ALT for Surface Normals

Need to create precise holes or indents? Hold ALT while using the Move brush. This adjusts the brush based on the surface normal, giving you more accuracy when sculpting details.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

Enabling AccuCurve transforms the Move brush into a sharper, more versatile tool. It’s quick, effective, and can save you time in both organic and hard surface workflows. Give it a try—it’s a small change that makes a big impact.
