Note about Switching to Blender for Game Artists
If you are new to Blender and want to use it as your main 3D software, take this course first to build the necessary foundation for the later tutorials in this FlipBox.
1. AAA Game Character Creation Course Part 1 - High Poly
The first step is learning how to sculpt a realistic body in ZBrush. You will focus on human anatomy and adding tiny details to the skin and clothes. This course helps you make a high-quality model that looks professional. This model will be the base for everything else you do in the next steps.
2. AAA Game Character Creation Tutorial Part 2 - Game Ready
In this step, you turn your high-detail sculpt into a model that can actually work in a video game. You will learn how to make a lower-detail version of your mesh and how to make UV maps. You will also use Substance Painter to paint realistic textures like skin, metal, and fabric.
3. Creating a Stylized Prop using ZBrush & Substance Painter - With Mario Stabile
This course teaches you how to make artistic models instead of realistic ones. You will work on a simple object to learn about shape and color. You will learn how to make textures look hand-painted. This is a great way to practice an artistic style without the difficulty of a full human character.
4. Stylized Character Art for Games – Full Tutorial Using Maya, ZBrush & Substance Painter
Now you will apply your artistic skills to a full character using Maya and ZBrush. You will learn how to take a 2D drawing and turn it into a 3D character. The focus is on making the character look appealing with smooth shapes and nice colors for the hair, skin, and clothes.
5. Advanced Stylized Game Character Art Tutorial - Using ZBrush, Blender & Substance
This tutorial teaches you how to make stylized characters using Blender. It shows you how to get great results by using different software together. This is important if you want to learn how to move your project between several programs to finish your work faster.
6. Advanced Sci-Fi Stylized Character Art Course - Part 01 - High-Poly
This course shows you how to mix human shapes with robot parts and armor. You will use ZBrush to design cool futuristic gear and hard suits. You will learn how to make metal plates look clean and fit perfectly on your character model.
7. Advanced Sci-Fi Stylized Character Art Course - Part 02 - Game-Ready
The second part of the sci-fi project is about fixing the model so it can move and animate. You will learn how to set up the armor plates so they do not crash into each other during a game. You will also add details like scratches, old metal, and glowing lights to the textures.
8. Switching to Blender for Game Artists
This course is made for artists who want to learn how to use Blender. It explains the interface and tools in a way that is easy for game artists to understand. If you usually use other programs, this will help you feel comfortable using Blender for your character art.
9. 60 | Cloth Folds & Wrinkles
The last step is a deep study of how clothes move. You will learn how to sculpt realistic wrinkles and folds in fabric. This tutorial explains how gravity and movement change the look of clothing. Adding these details will make your character art look much more professional.
